Academic Degree

Nov 2009 - Feb 2013

PhD student in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics, University of Pavia, Italy
February 2013, Dissertation: "Mathematical models of tumor growth inhibition to assess the efficacy of anticancer drugs in xenograft mice". It deals with different MBDD applications in preclinical drug development of anticancer drugs.

2009

Laurea cum laude (Master's degree) in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pavia
Thesis: "Modellizzazione matematica dell'effetto di un chemioterapico sulla regolazine genica in cellule tumorali". It concerns the development of a mathematical model able to describe the effect of an anticancer drug on genetic regulation in tumor cells.

2006 Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pavia, Italy
Thesis: "Identificazione di un modello di crescita tumorale: tecniche di stima a confronto." It concerns the identification of a tumor growth inhibition model by implementing and comparing different estimation techniques (e.g., Weighted Least Square method, Simulated annealing, Monte Carlo simulation, Markov Chain MonteCarlo method).
